/ The why of the what |
Welcome to the website UniversalWishes.com. This website is an initiative of Dan from Holland and Jurgen André from Belgium. They met a long time ago when Dan was working on a Dutch documentary in which Jurgen André was a speaker. A good friendship based on ‘a natural click’ grew soon after that.
At a certain point Dan picked up the phone and called his friend, telling him he had an excellent idea. It was all about working with The Law Of Attraction, as mentioned in the movie The Secret. This law states that one can achieve anything in life he or she really desires or longs for. Dreams can come true as long as you believe in them and, even better, when you put them on paper and/or make a picture, website or film about it. The more something is visualized, the better the Universe will take care of the intentions and wishes. That’s the main philosophy.
On the phone Dan explained he needed someone to build the site and brainstorm with him. Jurgen André replied telling he just finished a small Dutch website based on the almost same principle and idea. He showed the site to Dan. Both were amazed by the coincidence. Struck by this synchronicity they decided to work on the new idea because of the similarities it was an extension of what was already developed. Clearly The Universe already entangled their minds. Thanks to the first concept it was also proven that the idea works.
On personal base Jurgen André just experienced a divorce and was temporarily without a place to live. Dan, who lives alone in a small flat in Amsterdam, thought it would be great if he would move in for a while. Living together would mean optimal time for the UniversalWishes-project and of course a good time together. Only interrupted by sleeping on a matras on the living room floor, it would somewhat be like the wiz kids that develop software from their garage and hopefully grow to be a succesful company.
Jurgen André happily agreed to Dan’s proposition and possessed by the idea they started working on the project. They started visualizing and materializing a website that would be a platform for the whole world. It would have to be a place where everyone could post their wishes and dreams on; the things they really want. An income would be generated by micropayments, based on ‘pay for a seed, get a field’.
First Dan and Jurgen André drew the website on paper so the main structure was clear and their thoughts about it were on the same level. The idea was also to give people the possibility of reaching their goals sooner by bringing them some sort of visualization tool. Even to bring them together if they would want that. In short the duo wanted to be a help to the world, individual as well as collective. The website would be based on helping single people as well as foundations or charity organizations. Those groups already have projects they work on but can always use a financial boost and some attention for their goals.
For more than a month Dan and Jurgen André worked closely together in Amsterdam. When the website was ready people could enter their wish and even video material and images that go along with it. The wishes were categorized by tags and everyone could see and comment the wishes of others. The most original ones were rewarded on a special spot.
To help charity, foundations or companies that serve a good cause there was the ‘do you care?’ option. Interested people could sign up their organization and be part of a voting system. The principle was simple; he who gets the most votes wins and will receive a donation from UniversalWishes.com. The exact number varies depending on the amount of votes. One could call it some sort of ‘Idols for charity’.
Of course Dan and Jurgen André want to get better by this idea too. They wish prosperity to everyone, including themselves. By making money with UniversalWishes.com they want to buy free time to develop new ideas. Like Wallace D. Wattles stated in the book ‘The science of getting rich,’ on which the movie The Secret was based: “Every living thing must continually seek for the enlargement of its life, because life, in the mere act of living, must increase itself.
A seed, dropped in the ground, springs into activity, and in the act of living produces a hundred more seeds; life, by living, multiplies itself.”
They also believe that sharing the wealth is a virtue. In anyway one can state that the income that is generated from UniversalWishes.com will serve a good cause. It will be an example of how The Law Of Attraction can work.
They hope that you will enjoy the website and that all your wishes for yourself and/or someone else may come true.
Dan and Jurgen André.

About the UniversalWishes-logo
The logo of UniversalWishes.com is made from two circles interacting. Not just plain circles as you can see but bright yellow wheels of vibrating energy. The logo is composed of real pictures made from water interacting with sound of 39,9 Hertz. The human body is mainly made out of water and Masaru Emoto already proved that thoughts and vibes can mean a lot to our body.
We want to create good vibes in the world and every kind of symbol helps. Therefore it seemed appropriate using this geometrical artwork in our logo. The maker of the ‘watersound’ image is Robert Boerman, a Dutch author, photographer and investigator. You can find his website with more beautiful pictures on www.waterklankbeelden.nl.
We didn’t choose just one circle, we chose two diverging ones. For the plain reason this project was initiated by two men (a Belgian and a Dutchman) working together for a good cause. When people do just that, they can create things bigger than life. One and one is way more than two and that’s exactly what this old symbol of 2 circles interacting with each other stands for.
Our symbol is called a Vesica Piscis. That is the intersection of two identical circles, such that the center of one circle lies on the circumference of the other. Few people know that this simple symbol is the philosophical base of geometry. A lot of important numbers in math originate in the center of the circles, where they overlap. The important numbers are the ones you probably had to learn in geometry class but never knew where they came from, like the square roots of 2, 3 and 5. The picture to the right shows how those numbers come out of the meeting of 2 circles. If you find this interesting you can google ‘vesica piscis’.
